AERMOD air dispersion modeling and health risks of gas and oil fueled heating plant emissions

چکیده

A significant part of the population in Serbia relies on central heating systems during winter months, with around fifty plants operation across country. Common fuels used these primarily include fossil such as fuel oil and natural gas. Combustion some leads to emissions air pollutants. This study evaluates impact quality two boilers at Valjevo city (Serbia) plant. Air were measured separately for facility using standard reference methodology. The AERMOD dispersion model was estimate various combination topographical meteorological data set up a receptor grid exposed pollution within 10 km radius It found that resulting distribution concentration gradient pollutant gases particles less inclined towards centre instead spread eastwards into surrounding villages. health risk from boiler shown be significantly higher than caused by gas-fuelled boiler. Nevertheless, calculated carcinogenic non-carcinogenic risks acceptable limits. However, further research is required adequately assess cumulative generated other emitters.

Comparison of CALPUFF and AERMOD Modeling systems for predicting emissions from a gas refinery

Nowadays, air pollution is one of the major challenges in Assaluyeh, therefore, in the present study, according to the importance of the fourth refinery gas as the largest gas refinery in the region, the amount of emissions from Stacks and flares has been initially determined and then the distribution has been identified in the region. In this research, AERMOD and CALPUFF models have been used ...

Measurements and Modeling of Flue Height Influence on Air Pollution Emissions and Thermal Efficiency of Natural Draught Gas Fired Boilers

This paper presents and analyses results from experimental and CFD work undertaken on a 24 kW domestic natural-draught gas fired boiler. The effect of chimney height on boiler flue gases is being considered to address the need for increasing concern over environmental safety as well as saving of energy. A multi-component analysis computer (DELTA 2000 CD) is used to analyze the flue gases. 3D nu...

Assessment of air pollution in exercise centers and health risks

Background: In recent years, Tehran has faced major problems with air pollution for many reasons, and this issue has become a critical point in most of the days. However, less attention has been paid to the indoor air pollutants in exercise centers and their possible health effects. In this research, it was tried to briefly describe the characteristics and chemical composition of the aerosols p...

Experimental Study of Hydrogen Addition Impact on Emissions and Performance of a Natural Gas Fueled Engine

Hydrogen is seen as one of the important energy carriers of the future with potential to reduce local as well as global warming. The main by-product of the combustion of hydrogen in air is water vapor and trace quantities of oxides of nitrogen. An experiment was conducted to study the impact of hydrogen/natural gas blends on performance, thermodynamic efficiency and exhaust gas emissions in ...
